Project Overview

The branding for this event was created for the first ever Trucks n' Bucks community trade show. The event showcased various vendors relating to outdoor adventure. Activity stations such as axe throwing, toilet lid toss, and many others were setup for community engagement and entertainment was provided by a local band. 

The Town of Sylvan Lake hosts many community events. The goal of this event was to create a brand and advertising plan to attract locals and people from surrounding areas with interest in hunting, camping, hiking, and things of that nature.

We partnered with them to create a concept for the visual designs and a plan for the implementations of specific tactics to use in advertising to their target audiences. 

Our Solution

We started by researching other municipal events in surrounding areas as well as similar style events and trade shows. From there we developed a logo and chose accompanying imagery to support the branding. 

The logo boasts a rustic, country font that speaks to the Western audience. The icon designed entails a truck tire and buck to represent the name of the event. It was designed as a silhouette in order to keep it flexible in use across advertising materials. We chose to implement images of fire and leather to reinforce the outdoors nature of things. 

Included in this event campaign were posters, signage, flyers, branded letters of support to vendors and community businesses, T-shirts and removable tattoos for giveaways.
